Ischgl is a small and young vacation village in the Landeck district of the Austrian province of Tyrol. For a long time, the settlement of ‘Yscla’ was completely surrounded by the Silvretta mountains and the local economic activity was dominated by small-scale agriculture and smuggling into nearby Switzerland.
