Saariselkä à la carte

Saariselkä is a small skiresort with 9.000 inhabitants. It's built in the same way as the American ski resorts with mainly hotels, restaurants and shops. Ivalo airport is a 25 minute drive from town.

Attached you find a list with the planning of the excursions, the prices of Lapland Hotel Riekonlinna and the transfers. The reservation conditions are also mentioned in the attachment.

* Snowmobile Safari to the Fells (10am-12am): 102 euro pp (sharing a snowmobile) or 145 euro pp (single snowmobile). During this brisk safari, you will drive around the area of Saariselkä to see the beautiful scenery. Enjoy a coffee break by the open fire. Driving distance is 20 km.

* Arctic Speed (10am-2pm): 186 euro pp (sharing a snowmobile) or 272 euro pp (single snowmobile). This safari will take you to the Husky farm which is located south of Saariselkä. Meet the Husky dogs and have a nice half-hour ride. The total driving distance by snowmobile is 30-35 km.

* Cross Country Skiing (10am-12am): 60 euro pp. Fasten the skis to your skiing shoes, lean on the sticks and glide along the tracks through the pure whiteness. A stop is made for a cup of hot berry juice. The price includes equipment rental untill 5pm.

* Ice Fishing Safari (10am-2pm): 142 euro pp (sahring a snowmobile) or 228 euro pp (single snowmobile). The trail takes you north of Saariselkä to a remote lake. Bore a hole through the ice and try your fishing skills! Enjoy a snack by a campfire.

* Snowmobile Safari to the Reindeer Farm (10am-1pm): 140 euro pp (sharing a snowmobile) or 183 euro (single snowmobile). Visit to a local reindeer farm and learn how to throw the Lappish lasso and drive the reindeer.

* Snowshoe Trip to the Nature (10am-12am): 61 euro pp. Go wandering in the fells with a guide on marked tracks and in the deep snow.

* Search for the Northern Lights (6.30pm-9.30pm): 126 euro pp (sharing a snowmobile) or 169 euro pp (single snowmobile). Experience an arctic evening by driving through snow-covered forests and over treeless fells. You will stop and assist the guide to build an open fire to prepare a snack and hot drink.

* In the Heart of Nature (10am-3.30pm): 192 euro pp (sharing a snowmobile) or 278 euro pp (single snowmobile). Enjoy the great outdoors on this wilderness snowmobile safari to the heart of nature. Lappish lunch is included. This is an adult only safari.

* Reindeer Safari (10am-12am): 110 euro pp. Transfer from and to the hotel bu minibus. Enjoy a reindeer safari in caravan and relax while watching the great scenery.

* Husky Safari (11am-1pm): 168 euro pp. Visit by car/minvan to the Husky farm. After the instruction you leave for the safari. Halfway you can change position. Coffee is served by an open fire.
