Exploration of West Lapland

This program is a nice mix of a snowmobile safari  and some typical Lapp activities. The total distance is 290 kilometers. The safari starts from Levi where you will meet the guide on the first morning. After the driving and security instructions it goes to Kelokaira. Lunch will be served at the reindeer farm. Everyone will have the opportunity to make a short ride on a sledge, pulled by a reindeer. If he or she is in the mood, it will run.  Dinner and overnight at the Kelokaira Wilderness Center at the Lake Toras-Sieppijärvi. The second day is similar in distance as the first day. Stop for ice fishing and lunch in Olostunturi. Dinner and overnight at the Hirriniva Wilderness Center. The last day you return to Levi. With a distance of 150 kilometers it’s by far the longest day. You’ll stop at the Husky Farm and everyone can enjoy a ride of 5 kilometers (2 persons per sledge). Lunch is served at the farm. Late afternoon you arrive at hotel Sokos in Levi.

Day 1: transfer, dinner and overnight in hotel Sokos Levi.

Day 2: breakfast, meeting with the guide at the lobby. After security and driving instructions departure with snowmobile. Lunch and visit to the reindeer farm. Dinner and overnight at the Kelokaira Wilderness Center (70 km).

Day 3: breakfast and departure to Olostunturi for lunch. Ice-fishing. Dinner and overnight at the Harriniva Wilderness Center (70 km).

Day 4: breakfast and return to Levi. Lunch at and visit to the Husky Farm. Dinner and overnight at hotel Sokos Levi (150 km).

Day 5: breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport.

This tour can be extended. Price per night per person for a double room in hotel Sokos Levi in bed and breakfast:

* 10/01-20/02/2011: 85 euro

* 21/02-19/04/2011: 94 euro

* Supplement single: 55 euro per night

* Supplement half board: 30 euro per night
