Bordersafari Sweden/Finland

Starting point of this 4-day safari is Ylläs, located at 40 km from Kittilä, the nearest airport. During 4 days you will drive 510 kilometers,  mainly in Sweden. One of the highlights is the overnight at the Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel. The focus lies on pure snowmobiling. The first day brings us till the 400-year old village of Kangos, situated on the bank of Lainiojoki River. Dinner and overnight at the Kangos Guest House. The second day end at Jukkasjärvi. The world famous Ice Hotel is situated here. You will find the Absolute Ice Bar, the Ice Globe Theatre and the Ice Search. Dinner and overnight at the Ice Hotel. In the morning departure towards Lainio Vildmark. You will ride through the beautiful Lappish scenery, in deep snow, and if you’re lucky, coming across some forest inhabitants such as the fox, reindeer or the snow-white willow grouse. On the fourth day you return to Ylläs, crossing the Pallas-Ounas fell area and National Park. Dinner and overnight in Ylläs.

Day 1: transfer, dinner and overnight at Lapland Hotel Ylläs Kaltio.

Day 2: breakfast, meeting with the guide at the lobby of the hotel. Security and driving instructions, departure to Kangos. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Kangos Guest House (110 km).

Day 3: breakfast, departure to Jukkasjärvi. Lunch on our way to the Ice Hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Ice Hotel (140 km).

Day 4: breakfast, departure towards Vittangi. Lunch. Dinner and overnight in a cabin at Lainio Vildmark (110 km).

Day 5: breakfast, lunch, return to Ylläs. Dinner and overnight at hotel Ylläs Kaltio (150 km).

Day 6: breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport.

This tour can be extended. Price per person per night in a double room in hotel Kaltio Ylläs in bed and breakfast.

In case you prefer a hotel of a higher category we can advice a stay at the Lapland Hotel Akäshotelli. The rooms are apartments of 42m² with a full hotel service. The complex has a restaurant and a nightclub. The mentioned price are per person per night for a double room including breakfast. This hotel can replace the first and last night diner the tour. Just add the extra night price and deduct the extra night price for hotel Kaltio.
